Seamless, Waterproof & Designed for Performance

Microcement has become one of the most sought-after finishes for modern bathrooms. Its seamless appearance, durability, and water resistance make it an ideal solution for walls, floors, showers, and wet areas.

The Resistone Bathroom System is engineered specifically for these environments, combining aesthetic freedom with a technically proven multi-layer structure designed to perform under constant moisture and movement.

Why Resistone Microcement Is Ideal for Bathrooms

Bathrooms demand more from surface finishes than almost any other space in a home or commercial project. Water exposure, temperature changes, and structural movement require materials that are both durable and flexible.

Microcement offers several key advantages:

  • Seamless, joint-free surfaces
  • Excellent adhesion to existing substrates
  • Minimal thickness (typically 2–3 mm)
  • Modern, architectural appearance
  • Easy maintenance and cleaning
  • Suitable for floors, walls, showers, and vanities

The Resistone Bathroom System Explained

The Resistone Bathroom System is not a single product, but a carefully designed layered system. Each layer has a specific function, working together to deliver strength, flexibility, and waterproof protection.

Total product thickness 2-3mm

1. Sub-Base System – Primer + Mesh
The foundation of the system. This layer improves adhesion and distributes movement, helping to prevent cracking caused by substrate stress.

2. Base System – Ready Base
Provides structural stability and smooths the surface. Designed to work elastically with the substrate while supporting the finish layers.

3. Finish System – Ex Ground / Ex Chem
The decorative microcement layer that defines the final texture, colour, and aesthetic. Applied by trowel for a natural, handcrafted finish.

4. Varnish – Matt, Satin or Glossy
The protective sealing layer. It ensures water resistance, stain protection, and durability while allowing the desired visual finish.

The system is designed to transition from elastic layers at the bottom to harder, more resistant layers at the top, ensuring long-term performance in wet environments.
